Welcome to Spanish!
Week 1:
Periods 1 & 4- We started this week off with an assortment of fun Spanish review games including "Go Fish" to review numbers!
Period 2- We introduced ourselves and played some get to know you activities in español. We also reviewed basic greetings.
Period 3- Students learned to say how they are feeling and created a book on the Ipad to review these new terms.
Week 2:
Periods 1 & 4- We learned and sang a variety of Spanish songs focusing on greetings and getting to know you.
Period 2- We started off by learning how to tell time in Spanish and learned parts of the body.
Period 3- We delve more into emotions and began to learn time, seasons, months, and days of the week.
Week 3:
Periods 1- We began to learn about adjective agreement and differences in adjectives in Spanish and English.
Period 2- We reviewed seasons, months, days of the week, dates, and time.
Period 3- We learned time and reviewed how to describe someone's physical appearance with the game "Guess Who."
Period 4- We focused on read aloud books in Spanish like "The Giving Tree" and "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie."
Week 4:
Periods 1 & 4- Students reviewed concepts learned during summer school and played various Spanish games.
Period 2- We learned higher numbers and played Bingo using numbers 1-100.
Period 3- Students ended the summer with various Spanish games reviewing vocabulary and sentence structures.
